🎯As a Data Scientist

Every box we ship is the result of thousands of decisions: what to cook, who to recommend it to, how to price it, and how we show it to them, and data sits at the heart of every one of them. 

You will help us build and ship the models, products and experiments that shape how Cheffelo works. You'll be embedded in a cross-functional product team alongside engineers, designers and product managers, while also being part of a wider, supportive data discipline where you'll grow and learn from talented peers.

With us, you will:

• Build, ship and own predictive models and optimisation algorithms like recipe recommendations, churn prediction, demand forecasting, and operational optimisation, that directly shape the product our customers experience.
• Own the lifecycle of your models end to end, from first prototype through deployment, monitoring and iteration, including the pipelines, tooling and monitoring that keep them healthy in production.
• Design and analyse A/B tests and experiments end to end: hypothesis, analysis, results, and recommendation.
• Partner with the rest of the data discipline to help shape and develop the infrastructure we all rely on day to day.
• Contribute to the craft of the wider data discipline through code reviews, knowledge shares, and raising the bar together.

🧠 What we're looking for

• 0 to 2 years of hands-on experience in data science or a closely related field. Internships, thesis work and strong side projects absolutely count.
• Comfortable with Python and SQL.
• Knowledge or experience of modern data tooling (dbt, pipelines, warehouses like Databricks/Snowflake/BigQuery, and git based version control).
• Solid grounding in statistics and ML fundamentals. You can explain why your model is making the predictions it does, not just what it does.
• Excited to work close to production, whether you've shipped pipelines and monitored live models before, or you're ready to learn.
• Used to working with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
• A product mindset: you care about the user and the business outcome, not just model accuracy.
• Clear communicator in English, you're able to explain a complex result to a PM or designer without losing the nuance.
• Curious, motivated and eager to learn.
